  • Black destroyed an additional five points of White's territory in the upper right corner.
  • White captured an additional two Black stones at the left, so gaining four points.
  • Black captured one White stone in the upper right, so gaining two points.
  • Black did not capture White's two stones in the lower left, so losing four points.

In total, White lost five points.

Semeai Variation:

Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • White's cumulated gain in the upper left corner is five points.
  • White got an additional point of territory at the top.
  • White's cumulated gain in the left centre is one point.
  • Black got an additional three points of territory in the lower left corner.
  • White did not capture Black's stone in the lower left, so losing two points.
  • Black destroyed an additional five points of White's territory in the upper right corner.
  • White captured four Black stones more at the right, so gaining eight points.
  • Black captured two White stones more at the left, so gaining four points.

In total, White ganed one point.
