The Non-Main-Semeai Solutions

After the Completion of the Hanezeki

Starting Point = White G2

White G2 as Move #40 (0 Jigo)

2620

Instead of following Black with for an early Guzumi Exchange, White jumps to in the lower left corner.

The Jûrokubango has come to an end.

Over the course of 28b's self-play training, Black's Initial Self-Play Success Ratio (the blue line in the diagram) finally stabilised slightly above 60%. During the Jûrokubango, it decreased by about 10% and is now in the "green-yellow" range again.

28b's surplus of won games in the Jûrokubango (the red line in the diagram) shows a clear upward trend, finally reaching a balanced state around 0.

We are looking at a viable solution here !

The comments indicate the number of games in which the respective variation was selected.
E.g. "A=19 // B=264" == Variation "A" was played in 19 games, variation "B" in 264 games.
(The labelling is designed for SGF-editors that label next moves with capitals "A", "B", "C", ...)

White G2 (after White P18)

as Move #42 (1 Jigo)

In the upper right corner, the first exchange of a P18-reduction of White's territory has already been played.

Instead of following Black with for an early Guzumi Exchange, White jumps to in the lower left corner.

The Jûrokubango is still ongoing.

Over the course of 28b's self-play training, Black's Initial Self-Play Success Ratio (the blue line in the diagram) finally stabilised in the "green" range between 45% and 55%.

Recently, however, it has fallen sharply, so we will probably have to wait and see how things develop during the Jûrokubango.

#280:
BISPSR remained in the "orange" range, fluctuating around 30% now.
28b's SoWG fluctuates between -5 and 5, now showing a clear upward trend.

White G2 (after White Q17)

as Move #42 (0 Jigo)

In the upper right corner, the first exchange of a Q17-reduction of White's territory has already been played.

Instead of following Black with for an early Guzumi Exchange, White jumps to in the lower left corner.

The Jûrokubango has come to an end.

Over a long period of 28b's self-play training, Black's Initial Self-Play Success Ratio (the blue line in the diagram) finally stabilised in the "green" range between 50% and 55%.

We are looking at a viable solution here !

28b's surplus of won games in the Jûrokubango (the red line in the diagram) has reached the range of -5 to 0 (showing a strong upward trend).

28b has therefore mastered this variation just as well as 40b.

#280:
BISPSR remained in the "green" range, now showing a slight upward trend.
