Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • Black's cumulated gain in the upper left is five points.
  • White's cumulated gain at the top is one point.
  • White got an additional two points of territory in the upper right corner.
  • White captured two Black stones less at the upper edge, so losing four points.
  • White captured an additional Black stone in the upper right corner, so gaining one point.

In total, White lost five points.
