White is unable to win the ko fight without capturing the hanezeki's tail, so KataGo thinks that it is best to do so immediately.

Please note that Black should not use the kikashi in the hanezeki as ko theats here.

She would lose the game, if she insisted on fighting the ko until the very end.

Black's large group at the right is independently alive now, as White cannot stop Black from capturing at .
