White blocks at the top.

:
In reality, Black would have to block at at the left edge immediately, in order to pre-empt a White push at the same point.

Here, for the sake of clarity for the consequences of Black's continuation in the upper left corner, we will play only moves that belong the the Main Semeai.

...

:
With the exception of the open border in the upper left, we have reached the position of White's decision point.

White's group at the left has two unoccupied direct liberties (), while there are ten unoccupied direct liberties () for Black's large group at the right.

This implies that Black will be able to spend one move that loses a tempo in the Main Semeai, without falling prey to the Punishment Semeai.

Giving atari at White's stones in his upper left corner is too greedy.

It would be better for Black to struggle for a seki in the upper left corner, instead.

:
Black has to take White's stones off the board, in order to enable Black's group below to occupy White's liberties ().

:
In the meantime, White occupied two of Black's liberties at the right.
After White's move, Black's group at the right has only eight Main Semeai Liberties left (i.e. effective six), one liberty too few to survive the Punishment Semeai.

White will win by a large margin.
