Variations of Our Solution (IIIb)

Tricking KataGo (Triple-Ko)

VAR (C) (A) (.2) (.2) (.1)

: ( 222ew)
White plays KataGo's bad-shape move in the left centre much too early.

:
White's two stones in the lower left are already captured, so the cutting point at has gone, too.
Therefore, Black is free to block at immediately, also occupying a White liberty at the left.

:
White takes profit outside the Main Semeai area, which will benefit her in the Semeai Variation.

Black plays 2/2 reductions.

Capture Variation:

Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • In the left centre, Black gpt an additional point of territory, but did not capture a White stone, so the net effect is zero.
  • White did not capture Black's stone in the lower right, so losing two points.

In total, White lost two points.

White + 4 => White + 2
