In total, Black gained two points.

Semeai Variation:

Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • White captured one Black stone move in the right centre, so gaining two points.
  • White lost one point of territory in the upper right corner.
  • White captured one Black stone less there, so losing one point.

In total, gains and losses compensate for each other.
