White plays KataGo's bad-shape move in the left centre.

Please be aware that White's move was gote locally.

You will notice a lot of open spots on the board (). Black must choose his moves wisely so as to gain an advantage.

Black gives atari at White's two stones in the lower left, so continuing with the Main Semeai.
He leaves the final decision to White.

In order to simplify the presenatation, we let White capture the nakade now.

  • White did not capture Black's hasami-tsuke stone, so losing two points.
  • White got an additional point of territory in the right centre.

In total, White lost one point.

White + 6 => White + 5

Semeai Variation:

Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • White destroyed two points of Black's territory in the left centre.
  • Black destroyed one point of White's territory in the upper right corner.
  • Black captured one White stone more in the left centre, so gaining two points.
  • White captured one Black stone more in the upper right corner, so gaining two points.

In total, White gained one point.
