White secures her eye-shape to the right.

:
Black wants to avoid the "usual" path of Joachim's Ko-Semeai, and sets his hope on an additional ko-shape on the upper edge.

Going for a larger eye in the centre, with a move at , instead, will not help either.

:
This hane is mandatory for White, as it stops Black from creating another external ko-shape, which would benefit him.

Ko:

:
Black generates a third ko in the centre.

:
Black wants to avoid the "usual" path of Joachim's Ko-Semeai, and sets his hope on an additional ko-shape on the upper edge.

Ko:

:
White re-captures the ko in the upper right for the last time.

Black has no valid ko-threat left. Additionally, the double-ko of / in the centre benefits White, making Black helpless.

White will connect the ko, and Black's connected group on the lower edge cannot avoid being captured.
Eventually, White was successful here. However, she should have kept matters simple by refraining from playing her kikashi of / in the upper left so early ( 1071).
