VAR (C) (C)

: ( 379)
Black immediately creates an eye for his large group at the right.

:
KataGo prefers the kikashi of at the top right in answering Black's push from the left.

:
After some kikashi at the upper edge, White blocks Black's push to also create an eye for her group.

: (A 379b, 106 379c)
Black takes a liberty of White's centre group.

Black might consider following an idea of Joachim and solidly connect at , or playing Michael Redmond's kikashi in the bamboo joint with , instead.

:
Please note that White does not give atari at immediately.

...

:
KataGo prefers starting the ko fight "early", just because Black does not have a sufficient amount of adequate ko threats.

:
For the sake of simplicity of the presentation, we do let Black fight the ko here. Please note that the ko in the centre is still open.

Both sides continue with occupying opponent's liberties.

:
White captures the ko in the centre.

:
Black's ko threat was much too small, so White captures Black's large group in the upper right.

:
White will win the semeai between her group in the upper left and Black's tail group in the lower right.

White will win the game by a large margin.
