Over the course of 28b's training, Black's Initial Self-Play Success Ratio (the blue line in the diagram) showed significant fluctuations around the 45% mark.

During the Jûrokubango so far (bold section), it fell sharply of its own accord, but did not reach the critical range (below 20%) yet.

28b's surplus of won games in the Jûrokubango (the red line in the diagram) is predominantly in the range of -15 to -10 (which means that 28b has by no means grasped this variation as well as 40b), with only slight improvements over time.

It is therefore likely to be some time before we know whether this is a viable solution.
