Variations of Our Solution (I)

VAR

: ( 72)
Black continues with the Crosscut Sequence in the upper left centre, following the classical line of play. However, intending to play neither the guzumi of in the upper right corner nor the throw-in of in the hanezeki, will end tragically.

: (A 89)
White takes advantage of Black's refusal of Throwing-in at this point. Connecting her partial groups in the hanezeki provides White with an additional liberty.

In the sub-variation we will show that White will be mistaken with trying without this tesuji.

:
White is able to capture the hanezeki's tail, successfully initiating the Punishment Semeai.

:
Playing the "usual" oki at , instead, would lose a move in the semeai.

:
White is one move ahead in the semeai, and will win the game with ease. Black should have returned to the single throw-in in due time.
