; :
Black plays his remaining kikashi on the lower side of the board.

:
White connects. Thereafter, Black is securely ahead by six liberties in the Main Semeai.

White will not choose Dany's Sacrifice here, as the final result of the game will become worse overall.
If she did, her gains would not be sufficient to compensate for her loss in the lower left. Please note that - additionally - her kikashi in the lower left corner would no longer be effective, therefore she would lose another point.
The final scores would become Jigo / Jigo.

Black plays 3/6 reductions.

With 6/6 reductions, the final scores would be Black + 1 / White + 5.

:
White forces Black to capture her single stone.
Thereafter, she will give atari at , Black will connect at .

Later, White will play her kikashi , in the lower left corner, so that Black has to capture at before the end of the game.
White will connect at after her decision point.

Capture Variation:

Compared to the superordinate variation ...

  • White gained one point at the upper edge.

In total, Black lost one point.

White + 1 => White + 2

Semeai Variation:

At White's decision point, Black's large group in the upper right will have ten liberties, nine direct liberties (), and one approach-move liberty (), so White will be unable to capture it.

Black will win the game by a large margin.
