Thereafter, Black cuts at , so stopping White from getting two eyes.

Accidentally, we discovered that White is able to also interchange the moves here, with taking the point to the right herself. The resulting effect on the relationship of liberties - between Black's large group in the upper right, and White's group in the centre - is the same as with the "usual" sequence shown above.

This implies that - even after White's Kikashi of / in the upper left corner that solidified Black's shape there - Black cannot hope to benefit from aggressively cutting inside White's shape.
