Black is bound to continue with the Main Semeai, and occupies one of White's liberties at the left edge.

Capturing White's five stones with just now is out of the question, as Black would become the prey of the Punishment Semeai.
However, with White handicapped by her five stones in the upper left being in atari, it would be best for Black to insert Michael Redmond's kikashi in the bomboo joint.

Connecting her stones is sente for White.

Black must defend against White's throw-in at .

The Main Semeai continues.

In principle, we have reached a change in the order of moves with a subvariation where White occupied the guzumi point before connecting her stones in the upper left corner ( 222kb).

In the upper left, White lost one point of territory, but captured one Black stone, so the net effect of Black's throw-in is zero.

The final scores of the game will be White + 6 / Jigo.
