White's solid connection does not lose a liberty in the Main Semeai, so ...

:
... Black has to follow the "usual" course of the Professional Solution.

:
White would gain one point locally by choosing Yamada Shinji's tsuke (). For the sake of better comparison, we kept the "classical" atari here.
We display the endgame in the left half of the board.
In the upper right, Black is able to connect both of his hasami-tsuke stones (, ), without losing any important liberty in the Main Semeai. However, this will enable White to occupy the point , securing one additional point of territory in the centre, during the course of the mutual occupation of liberties.
White will also get the move at eventually.

///:

The left half of the board is the same as in the Professional Solution.

The comparison of the final positions in the right half of the board (Professional Solution at the left) shows:

  • White lost four points of territory (), due to Black's hasami-tsuke.
  • White got the point of territory in the centre ().

In total, Black is three points better than in the main line of the Professional Solution (two points with Yamada Shinji's tsuke).

Black wins by three points (by two points with Yamada Shinji's tsuke).
