In one variation of the solution of Fujisawa Hideyuki 9p [LIT. 1; page 246]) White captures Black's -group in the centre.

Please note that White does not play oki at O here that is now known to be the best continuation for White.

Fujisawa's Capture Variation ends with capturing White's -group on the right. Thereafter, the endgame on the left side would start with , , but is not shown in detail. A continuation will be published by Cheng Xiaoliu in his 1988 book ( 763). Please keep in mind that the optimal moves for White had not yet been found at this time.

The result given by Fujisawa Hideyuki 9p is a win for Black by two points.
