In 1988 [LIT. 3; page 354], Cheng Xiaoliu 6p showed these two moves late in the game, with , and , after the end of Fujisawa's solution ( = ). In our opinion, is not technically correct to wait for so long, because it would have been sente for Black to play at 134 at any time before, so making up for his earlier mistake. Anyway, White now occupies the point Black should have taken much earlier, and can do so in sente.

This stone will become an additional prisoner, when Black's large group in the top right is taken off the board. So, Black loses two points.

Cheng gives the score of this kind of Semeai Variation as jigo, which means that Black's 71st stone is included here.

Assuming the "early" Hanezeki Exchange ( 760), shown by him, Black would win by two points.
